People have always been attracted by the beauty and independence of wild cats and have even tried to keep wild cats such as leopards, cheetahs and lions, usually with little success. By crossing small wild Asian Leopard Cats (Felis Bengalensis) and domestic shorthairs, a wonderful animal has come to exist. The Bengal meet that desire for a wild look cat, but also loving and safe. Jean S. Mill began the Bengal breeding program in 1963, and Bengals today descend from cats bred by her in the early 1980s. It was later, in 1991, that the International Cat Association recognized Bengals. Today, Luxury Leopards wants you to meet our new Bengal generation. By choosing with love our favourite pure Bengals, we have been able to mark even more the wild physical characteristics of The Bengal and their beautiful spots, and, at the same time, choose the more loving and family adapted Bengals.
¿What makes us different from other Bengal breeders? Our goal at Luxury Leopards is provide our Bengal Kittens with a happy, healthy, fun, family oriented environment, and that our kittens continue being as close to the World Cat Federation Bengal standard as possible. Our “little leopards” have a unique coat, with shiny and bright colours, and their character is amazing. We feed our bengals with a quality protein diet, and they are up to date on all immunizations, they receive genetic tests to assure that they are healthy, and they receive the utmost care and attention; that´s how our bengal cats have the charming character and the elegance so characteristic of our bengal cats. As a dedicated breeder we have a few select breedings per year .

FAST FACTS ABOUT BENGAL CATS
There are some things that make it impressive to see a Bengal cat in person and make it a unique cat:
-The Bengal is a big cat, with a strong and robust body. Bengal males can weigh between 5 and 8 kilos, and bengal females weigh between 3.5 and 5 kilos. His hind legs are very strong, and that allows him to jump great heights, more than other cat breeds.
-The coat of the Bengal is bright and silky, and it possesses a unique characteristic, the "glitter" that no other breed of cat has. The glitter is a golden flash of hair, similar to flecks of gold, which stands out when the bengal cat is under the sun or another spotlight. It is a very difficult effect to photograph, and therefore, one more thing that makes the Bengal cat an animal that impresses when seen in person.
-The Bengal cat is not afraid of water, in fact, he is attracted to water. This is something inherited from his ancestor, the leopard cat of Asia, which is a fishercat. There are Bengals that even get into the bathtub when it is full of water, in fact, if you fill a bathtub with water and put something that floats, your bengal cat will have a good game for a long time, as they love to hit the water with their legs .
-As the Bengal is such a sociable cat and with such a fun character, he can be taught to walking on a lead. Many people call this breed the "dog cat" because its sociable nature, its tranquility to go outside, and its attachment to its owner, remind the behavior of the dogs. Due to this exceptional character, the Bengal lives perfectly with other pets and children.
-The Bengal is a very intelligent cat and he enjoys a lot when he is given attention. Therefore, it is a cat that can receive training with "cliker", and that enjoys playing pick up the ball, like dogs. This way of playing also makes the Bengal a very special animal.

RULES THAT LUXURY LEOPARDS MEETS
-We do not sell bengal cats for breeding to people who are not registered in a Feline Club.
-Our bengal cats are not available for crossings with other cats. This guarantees the health of our bengal cats, because we avoid pyometry and possible contagion, and also makes us maintain the exclusivity of our line, because we do not share our lines with other breeders.
-In the conditions of our contracts we strictly prohibit the declawing (nail amputation) of our bengal kittens, it is an illegal practice in many places, as well as being counterproductive for kittens.
-We do not accept intermediaries or points of sale, our bengal kittens are only acquired with us. Thus, we offer the client all the genetic and purity guarantees.
-We have tested our cats in the main genetic diseases that the Bengal cat can develop and therefore, we can offer our clients the best health for their new bengal cat (see section "ADOPTION GUIDE- Bengal Health" for more information).
